Ethical Standards for Publication and Best Practices

The journal Chihuahua Hoy adheres to international ethical and transparency principles, such as those of COPE and those recommended by SciELO Mexico. Below is a detailed description of our policies and practices.

Editorial Board and Editorial Team

Ensure the journal’s academic quality.
Guarantee the anonymity of authors and reviewers throughout the editorial process.
Ensure that all submitted manuscripts are reviewed by subject matter experts.
Update the guidelines regarding authors’ responsibilities and the characteristics of works submitted to the journal.
Ensure the peer review system used to select articles and the criteria that reviewers must apply.
Guarantee the confidentiality of the review process.
It undertakes not to use the articles received for its own research without the authors’ consent.
It will ensure that texts identified as plagiarism are excluded from the entire editorial process. The journal uses Turnitin and iThenticate to monitor for plagiarism.
It declares its commitment to the respect and integrity of the works received, published, or rejected.

Authors

They are responsible for the content of the text submitted to this publication.
They agree to transfer their rights regarding the first publication of the article to the journal.
They must ensure that their work is original and does not constitute total or partial plagiarism.
They must inform the Editorial Board if they detect a significant error in their publication so that it can be corrected immediately.
They must strictly follow the editorial criteria published in the Guidelines for Authors section.
All sources used in the document must be properly cited.
A maximum of three authors may be listed on submitted works.

Reviewers

They agree to provide an objective, critical, constructive, and impartial review of the article.
They must maintain strict confidentiality regarding the information contained in the documents they review.
Acceptance or rejection is based solely on the relevance of the work, its originality, its interest, and compliance with the style and content guidelines outlined in the editorial criteria.
They must adhere to the established deadlines (if this is not possible, they must notify the Editorial Board).
Reviewers must not evaluate manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
They must immediately report any instances of total or partial plagiarism in the work under review.
