Impacto de las Técnicas de Producción y las Prácticas de Calidad en los Beneficios JIT

Resumen

En el ambiente global actual de los negocios, las maquiladoras establecidas en México, al igual que las empresas, necesitan constantemente mejorar sus procesos y reducir sus costos de operación para permanecer en el mercado y ser competitivas. La herramienta Justo a Tiempo (JIT) es una herramienta de manufactura esbelta que trabaja fundamentalmente en estos dos aspectos. Sin embargo, se desconocen los Factores Críticos de Éxito (FCE) para su implementación, así como las relaciones que tienen con los beneficios obtenidos. En este artículo se presenta un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales que relaciona las técnicas de producción y las prácticas de calidad como FCE de JIT con los beneficios obtenidos y que fue validado con información proveniente de 372 encuestas. Se determinan los índices para la validación del modelo y se analizan los efectos directos, indirectos y totales. Los resultados indican que existe suficiente evidencia estadística para declarar que las técnicas de producción y las prácticas de calidad si tienen un impacto directo y positivo sobre los beneficios de JIT.
