Design of a discrete-time controller for nonlinear systems

Abstract

This work proposes the design of a discrete-time controller to stabilise a discrete-time scalar system. In absence of disturbances, it is possible to choose the convergence time to the origin as a parameter in the control law. An analysis of this controller, without disturbances, is developed to show that in a finite time steps the convergence to the origin is achieved. In the presence of bounded disturbances, a discrete-time integral term is added to the proposed controller to reject such disturbances and satisfying control objectives. Finally, the obtained results are employed to a discrete-time system equations to show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
