From denied society to denied sociology

Main Article Content

Abstract

This article returns on several of the classic founders of the sociology to show how they thought about how to create a tradition that today finds itself denied. In the center of this tradition, with his debates, one finds regularly the possibility of thinking the society as a whole. Nevertheless, in the last decades and under the influence of disciplines strange to the sociological tradition, the credence that it is not possible to think the society as a whole -what it is like in structures and from the conceptual point of view- has been gaining a place.
