Abstract

This research aims to present the results of implementing a compendium of activities and Interactive Lecture Demonstrations based on PhET Interactive Simulations. The implementation of the compendium was tested in two pilot groups in the Conceptual Physics course, during the August-December 2021 semester. The student's responses to the activity sheets and the Interactive Lecture Demonstrations sheets were analyzed. The results of the study show that the implementation had a good acceptance among the groups of students and the follow-up study of a sample of students suggests a progressive improvement in their predictions. The conclusions derived from the study identify the areas of opportunity to improve the worksheets and help to obtain different perspectives on the diagnosis of the conceptual bases of the new student body, both helpful in the improvement and redesign of the compendium.
