Friedrich Katz: The chihuahuan connection

Abstract

In this short essay the author tries to rescue the nature of the relationship that the historian Friedrich Katz developed with the State of Chihuahua and the border region, through his links with the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez. It presents a selection of key moments of his biography to suggest the magnitude of the historiographical, intellectual and humanist contributions professor Katz did to our country and to all those who were close with him individually.
