Vol. 4 No. 6Biníriame Vol. 4, No. 6 (July–December 2023) brings together four contributions that examine, from diverse perspectives, the structural, cultural, and pedagogical challenges currently faced by Mexican education amidst normative reforms and technological shifts. The issue opens with a systematic review of the school leadership profile within the framework of the New Mexican School, analyzing the tensions between institutional discourse and everyday school practices. This is followed by a documentary study outlining a pedagogical intervention pathway to strengthen literacy in preschool education, grounded in constructivist theories and emerging practices. The third article examines educational experiences that successfully connect cultural diversity with institutional effectiveness, while questioning conventional notions of academic achievement. Finally, an essay on otaku identity in Cuauhtémoc offers an intercultural reading of youth and their symbolic codes, expanding the boundaries of what counts as educational beyond the classroom. Taken together, these texts provide critical coordinates for rethinking the meaning, practices, and horizons of education in Mexico.
