Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, or is not under consideration by any other journal.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word.
  • Whenever possible, DOIs from consulted bibliogrphy are provided for reference.
  • The text follows the format template that appears in the tab "Publish".
  • The references at the end of the paper followed our editorial standards, in APA sixth edition.
  • Remember to add to all authors. Each one must have its ORCID number.

Author Guidelines

The Editorial Board of NovaRUA permanently welcomes article proposals for publication in any of its different sections, named: 1) thematic section or 2) Book Reviews. 

 1. The works to be presented in NovaRUA must be original and unpublished. NO MORE THAN THREE AUTHORS

2. Papers should be substantial (research results, academic papers) which will be located in the thematic section. In the case of section two, may relate short book reviews.

3. Papers may be submitted in English or Spanish.

4. Entries must meet the following editorial requirements:

a) Title (short, concise, English and Spanish).

b) An abstract of the contents in an extension of no more than 150 words, written in English and Spanish.

c) Key words in English and Spanish. It accepts a range of 3-5 keywords per article.

d) Original filed electronically. Preferably, it should send your files via OJS in a WORD file version, use the template that appears on the tab PUBLISH.

e) The length of articles should be between 15 and 30 pages. For the book review section extension should not exceed 5 pages.

f) The tables and figures plotting must be developed in Excel for tables and JPG format for figures, for Windows. Tables and figures should appear in the Word file in its corresponding location.

g) Check the word file for the References section, in APA sixth style.

5. Once the editorial process has begun, inclusion or withdrawal of authors will not be accepted.

Names and addresses given to the journal will be EXCLUSIVELY used for the stablished purposes in it and will not be given to third parties nor used with some other different purposes.
