Raúl Holguín Ávila, Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez

Dr. Raúl Holguín Ávila is a Research Professor at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) and current Coordinator of the Urban and Landscape Design and Geoinformatics programs at IADA. He holds a PhD in Planning and Sustainable Development from the Autonomous University of Baja California and a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Development from UACJ.

His career combines teaching and research with experience in the public sector, where he has served as Director of Planning and Evaluation and advisor on urban planning for the municipal government of Juárez. His research focuses on habitability, uninhabited housing, and public space. He is an active member of the National Laboratory for Sustainable Housing and Communities, participating in national strategic programs funded by CONACYT (now SECIHTI) and contributing to the formulation of urban development policies and plans.
