Renuncia silenciosa en profesionales del servicio: implicaciones para el compromiso organizacional

Resumen

La renuncia silenciosa se ha posicionado como un fenómeno laboral contemporáneo vinculado a cambios culturales en torno al equilibrio entre vida personal y trabajo, y que se relaciona con el grado de compromiso que los empleados mantienen hacia sus organizaciones. El propósito de este estudio fue analizar la relación entre la renuncia silenciosa y las tres dimensiones del compromiso organizacional propuestas por Meyer y Allen (1991): afectivo, normativo y de continuidad. Para ello, se llevó a cabo un estudio cuantitativo, correlacional y transversal con una muestra de 119 profesionales de servicio orientados a la atención de personas y comunidades. Los resultados mostraron correlaciones negativas y significativas entre la renuncia silenciosa y los compromisos afectivo y normativo, mientras que no se encontró relación con el compromiso de continuidad. Estos hallazgos sugieren que la renuncia silenciosa se explica principalmente por la desvinculación emocional y moral, y no por cálculos instrumentales de permanencia.
