https://erevistas.uacj.mx/ojs/index.php/NovaRua/article/view/6343

This article analyzes the changes in the Chinese economic structure between 1965 and 2017. It does so use input-output techniques and new information sources in this regard; particularly, the intercountry input-output matrix prepared by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, based on data from the Asian Development Bank. Based on the above, the paper shows both the intersectoral historical changes within the Chinese economy, as well as the role that this country has been assuming in the global provision of industrial inputs.
Germán PinazoSabrina Borracchia

https://erevistas.uacj.mx/ojs/index.php/NovaRua/article/view/6411

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the factors that influence job satisfaction of employees in the hotel sector, in addition to analyzing the differences based on sex, birth generations and hotel category, as well as comparing the levels of intrinsic and extrinsic satisfaction. A correlational quantitative method was used. The study sample consisted of 126 hotel employees. The self-administered survey technique was conducted using instrument S20/23 by Meliá and Peiró (1998). Results indicate a correlation between intrinsic and extrinsic elements of job satisfaction, highlighting that no generational or gender differences were found in perceptions of satisfaction, and regarding the hotel category, only the supervision factor showed differences.
Rita Patricia Contreras-FélixLucero Pérez-HernándezJessica Ivonne Hinojosa-López

https://erevistas.uacj.mx/ojs/index.php/NovaRua/article/view/6346

In the contemporary era, technology has become a pervasive and pivotal force, exerting a profound influence on nearly every aspect of human life and heralding the advent of a transformative era characterized by digital and cognitive advancement; those who adapt to it enter the Cognitive Era, in which artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology (IT) support decision-making processes. Nevertheless, this transition can rise feelings of unease and apprehension due the necessity to implement swift and frequently misguided organizational and technological alterations, driven by an oversimplification of intricate domains with the intention of rendering them more accessible to AI and IT. This article presents the KMoS-SSA methodological framework as an integrative tool that merges knowledge management with the systems approach to develop effective solutions in complex domains. This holistic approach recognizes the importance of tacit specialist knowledge and offers a suitable way to address associated challenges with digital and cognitive transformation.
Jorge Rodas-OsolloKarla Olmos-Sánchez

https://erevistas.uacj.mx/ojs/index.php/NovaRua/article/view/6454

Entrepreneurship has been largely approached based on its positive benefits for national economies and regional development. Recently, studies have been conducted on its negative side, known as the Dark Side of Entrepreneurship (DSE), which has received growing interest from academics. However, we contend that it is time to view this increasingly growing literature under its dysfunctional dimension, which is not foreseen by any of the existing entrepreneurship schools of thought. Under a scoping review method, our findings suggest that it is feasible to propose a new School of Entrepreneurship Dysfunctional Studies (EDS), which should provide a theoretical foundation for the negative and dysfunctional effects it presents for present and future studies on this path, and impact public policies, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and entrepreneurship education.
Oscar Javier Montiel Méndez Rosa Azalea Canales GarcíaAraceli Alvarado Carrillo

https://erevistas.uacj.mx/ojs/index.php/NovaRua/article/view/6383

This article discusses the absence of health policies addressed to attend elderly Mexican migrants that have migrated and have been living in the US for at least 10 years and dwelling on the Juarez/El Paso border region. Grounded Theory was used and a sample population of 24 participants of 60 years old and more was consulted. Results shows that a third of the sample crosses the border into Mexico searching for medical services and needs to travel an average of 21 miles to achieve it. The research concludes that there is a little knowledge about the pattern of Mexican elderly migrants into the USA and a little recognition of this group as a recipient of medical services in the USA. In addition, it seems that local governments and local health institutions on both sides of the border need to implement innovative schemes of administration and policy design to address those needs of such migration flow from Mexico.
Francisco Javier Llera PachecoÁngeles López-Nórez

https://erevistas.uacj.mx/ojs/index.php/NovaRua/article/view/6597

In Mexico, it is estimated that approximately 40% of households are in energy poverty. This refers to the economic situation experienced by families that spend more than ten percent of their income to pay for energy-related services to cool or heat their homes. This problem is suffered by thousands of families in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, due to its extreme climate at different times of the year. The objective of this research is to generate a theoretical and methodological reflection on the cost of energy in the design of social housing through the analysis of a case study that will be taken as a reference. The expected results are the projection of possible scenarios of housing retrofitting through insulating materials, the best investment and the possible rate of return, to provide an answer to this problem.
Liliana Karina Alba GómezErika Anastacia Rogel Villalba
