FACTORES ADMINISTRATIVOS EN EL ÉXITO DE TQM: UN ANÁLISIS RELACIONAL CON ECUACIONES ESTRUCTURALES

Resumen

La gerencia y el departamento de calidad juegan un papel importante en el éxito de la implementación de TQM y se pude decir que son los responsables de su implementación, con colaboración de proveedores, trabajadores y clientes;
sin embargo no se conocen los factores clave de éxito que lo garanticen. Por ello en este artículo se presentan los resultados de una encuesta realizada a responsables de programas de aseguramiento de calidad en la industria
maquiladora de Ciudad Juárez, se expone un análisis descriptivo de los ítems y se expone un análisis factorial exploratorio, donde se identifican factores de tipo administrativo y se relacionan con una serie de resultados esperados de su aplicación real, para lo cual se aplicó la técnica de ecuaciones estructurales. Se encontraron factores relacionados con el liderazgo y compromiso de la gerencia, motivación y sentido de pertenencia de los trabajadores, procesos de retroalimentación de los clientes y grado de madurez en las relaciones con los proveedores de materias primas y servicios.
